In 1989, after graduating from the Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood, I started teaching private guitar lessons. I taught 40+ students a week at American Music in Oxnard, Ca. After some years of teaching there I packed up my family and headed to Nashville to work on my Bachelors degree at Belmont University. In 2000, I graduated summa cum laude, with a Commercial Music degree and an emphasis in composition and arranging. Today, I teach 30+ students at Corner Music in Nashville. I also do local gig work and recording/producing in my small home studio. Basically, I am a working musician who enjoys teaching. When I’m not doing music, my family with four children keeps me quite busy.
